Project Settings

Before starting any project, properly configuring your composition settings ensures your output matches your delivery requirements. These settings affect render quality and file size.

Key Concepts

Dimensions

  • 1920×1080 (Full HD) — standard for most web and broadcast
  • 3840×2160 (4K UHD) — high-resolution displays and cinema
  • 1080×1920 (Vertical) — social media stories and reels
  • Square formats (1080×1080) for Instagram posts

Frame Rate

  • 24fps — cinematic look, film standard
  • 25fps — PAL broadcast (Europe, Australia)
  • 30fps — NTSC broadcast (North America, Japan)
  • 60fps — smooth motion for sports, gaming content

Shutter Angle

  • Controls motion blur intensity (0°–360°)
  • 180° — natural, film-like motion blur
  • 360° — maximum blur, dreamy effect
  • 0° — no motion blur, sharp frames

Tips & Best Practices

  • Always match your composition frame rate to your footage
  • Use 180° shutter angle as default for natural motion blur
  • Create composition presets for recurring project types
